Fox News aired all 500 most-watched cable news shows since Nov. 5 election

Fox News is in a league of its own when it comes to viewership, dominating the cable news landscape by airing the 500 most-watched shows since Donald Trump won the election on Nov. 5, according to Nielsen figures.

In December, the conservative network commanded the top 400 cable broadcasts, with left-leaning MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” coming in at 401, the data showed.

Similarly, from November 6 through mid-January, Fox News, which shares common ownership with The Post, led each of the top 500 cable newscasts in total viewers.

Fox’s enduring shows include “The Five,” “Jesse Waters Primetime,” “Hannity” and “Laura Ingraham Live.”

CNN’s “Election Day” was the first non-Fox program to crack the race, reaching 507, according to Nielsen.

For nearly two decades, Fox News has been the top source of cable news, with its audience surpassing MSNBC, CNN, NewsNation and Newsmax combined.

The network’s influence extends beyond the ratings, as it serves as the primary news source for many conservatives.

“I’m extremely proud of our entire team for proving once again why we’re the nation’s most-watched network as we outperformed the competition in covering the stories that mattered most to everyday Americans.”

While Fox News has solidified its position as the most-watched cable network since the election, its main competitors have lagged behind.

Since the election, both MSNBC and CNN have seen significant declines in television ratings.

MSNBC’s total daily average viewership fell to about 521,000, a 38% drop from its pre-election average.

Similarly, CNN’s total daily viewership averaged about 367,000, reflecting a 49% decline.

In contrast, Fox News saw a 41% increase in viewership over the same period, highlighting a significant shift in the cable news audience.
